Staff at a Pockington coffee shop are celebrating after reaching the top three of a national competition which focuses on the smaller independent coffee market.

The Fresh Food Deli, in Market Place, narrowly missed out on the title of coffee shop of the year to The Watermark Cafe in Scarborough, though everyone at the shop is delighted with what they have achieved in a field of 65 entries.

Run by Lincoln & York, the leading UK coffee roasting company, the competition was judged by a panel of mystery shoppers looking for the best service, atmosphere and of course, coffee.
