A community choir has bid farewell to its tenor, who has been a member for 16 years.
Sam Happs has been a member of Stamford Bridge Singers from primary school age but has left the group to begin his career in the army.
He has travelled to Wincester to start his training in the Royal Engineers.
The group’s Musical Director, Michael Wiles, said: “Sam started his singing with the choir 16 years ago whilst still a treble and has been a loyal and committed member ever since, latterly singing tenor.
“He is always so cheerful. We shall miss him and we wish him well.”
The choir presented Sam with a Fossil Chronograph Cuff Watch and a gift voucher. He was also given a large card with photos of Sam at choir events over the years and filled with messages of good luck.
