The playground at Pocklington’s Burnby Hall Gardens has undergone a £16,000 refurbishment thanks to donations from a number of local businesses and individuals.

To celebrate the Golden Jubilee of the Stewart Trust, an appeal was launched earlier this year to improve the existing playground at the Gardens, and through the generosity of the local community, four new items have been purchased and are now in place.

The Trust see this as very much in keeping with the ethos of the Gardens, in that it encourages young families to come to see and experience the fantastic legacy left by Major Percy Stewart.

Full story in next week’s (17 July) Pocklington Post.
