Cannabis charge

A MAN alledged to have been in possession of cannabis with intent to supply came before magistrates.

Mr George Tomlinson, 18, of Riverside Close, Driffield, entered no plea before Bridlington magistrates, on Wednesday 5 September, when charged with possessing a Class B drug with intent to supply.

Mr Tomlinson is alleged to have been in possession of the drug in Bridlington on Friday 23 March.

Presiding magistrate, Alan Hardman, said: “The bench feel that the best way to deal with this is at Crown court.”

He adjourned the hearing for a committal hearing on Wednesday 17 October and granted Mr Tomlinson unconditional bail.
