Battle talk at group’s meeting

AN AUTHOR from Full Sutton will open Pocklington and District Local History Group’s autumn programme next Thursday.

Chris Rock, who wrote ‘The Battle of Stamford Bridge 1066’, will give a talk about the battle to the group in the old courthouse, in George Street, Pocklington at 7.30pm. All are welcome and there is an admission charge of £2.

Copies of the book will be available at the talk.
