Assault in Pocklington

Police are investigating an assault in Pocklington which left a local man needing hospital treatment.

The alleged assault happened at around 12.15am on Tuesday 16 September when a 32-year-old local man was confronted by several men in Market Place.

Two men allegedly pulled up on the pavement next to the victim and his friend before knocking him to the ground and continuing their assault as he was on the floor.
