Ambulance warning after record numbers call 999
Ambulance bosses are again appealing for people in the region to use the emergency service wisely as they continue to receive record numbers of 999 calls from people across the region.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service has responded to over 3,000 more patients this month compared to this time last year, and although extra resources have been made available to cope with this demand, calls for trivial incidents are potentially putting people with life threatening illnesses or injuries at risk.
