A Pocklington Brownies group enjoyed a fun-filled activity weekend in South Yorkshire.
The leaders of 4th Pocklington Brownies took their Brownie Unit to Kingswood Activity Centre at Dearne Valley Doncaster.
On arrival they were shown around the site and then headed to their sleeping accommodation where the girls had to make their own beds and prepare for the first activity.
After a quick visit to the dining hall for tea, the girls headed out to their first session which was orienteering. They then finished the evening with a campfire and songs.
The girls had an early start the next morning which started with breakfast before heading out for a day full of activities which consisted of jacobs ladder, crate stack, problem solving, night line and low ropes. Half the group also had a go on the zip wire.
After a busy day the girls finished the activities off with a disco before heading back to the dorms to pack and get some sleep.
The next morning saw the girls take part in a laser quest activity and some team work problem solving, with the remaining half of the group having a go on the zip wire.
The Brownies then enjoyed lunch before presenting some badges.
Rachel Pickering, from the 4th Pocklington Brownies, said: “We all had a fantastic weekend, and were thoroughly exhausted on arrival back into Pocklington.
“The Owls are very proud of the girls and what they achieved over the weekend, daring to do things they had never done before, for some a first stay away from home.”
