A Lifestyle called ‘Open Wings’ are flying high after scooping a fantastic prize in the Humberside Police Lifestyle Challenge.

Hannah, Georgie, Aimee, Henry and Leon who were year six children at Melbourne Community Primary school last year, spent the summer months with their families creating a bird hide out of recycled materials at the bottom of the school field at Melbourne primary. The children won an adventure holiday in Wales as a reward for their enthusiasm and commitment.

A spokesperson for the school said: “As all the Open Wings team have gone on to secondary school this [bird hide] has been a lovely legacy for them to leave behind at their primary school.

“We are very proud of the them and hope they have a fantastic time when they go.”

“Melbourne Community Primary School has a long tradition of doing well at the Lifestyle awards which shows that our children really are growing up to respect and appreciate the community that they live in.”
