Letter: School pupils enjoyed service

We have enjoyed our annual Celebration of St Edith’s Day here at Bishop Wilton.

We all attended a church Service and Year Sixes enjoyed a lunch at The Rectory with Father Finnemore. Many thanks to Father Finnemore for having us for lunch each year.

We also enjoyed an Author visit to our School, Gillian Overitt, the author of Max’s Amazing Dream.

Gillian did some lovely work with the children and signed books for them to take home.

Our annual Macmillan Coffee afternoon was a huge success – we raised £186.30.

The event was enjoyed by all, and the school council enjoyed arranging the activities. Many thanks to everyone involved.

We also had a very enjoyable Harvest Festival, again at St Edith’s. The children were involved in the service and bringing in their harvest to be shared with the needy.

Many thanks to everyone involved in this tradition.
