Letter: Donate and get struggling NHS back on track

How many users would be prepared to make a contribution to ensure the facilities will be there in the future?

Most people enjoy the benefits of the NHS, but how many users would be prepared to make a contribution to ensure the facilities will be there in the future.

When you next visit the chemist take note of the number of free prescriptions which are given out and we all expect them to be in stock.

Most people will spend on bingo, lottery, drink or cigarettes.

Our NHS is in trouble and we need it to be there with all the latest technology, specialists and nurses and it would certainly help if we all made a contribution. There are over 26.5 million homes in the UK. If just for one year a monthly contribution of £10 was made. It would amount to nearly £3 billion which would certainly go a long way to help.

This would be a one-off help to enable the NHS to get back on it’s feet.

When we have a world disaster, millions are generously given. Why not consider a gift for something which helps everyone in the UK. After all it would only mean £2.50 per house hold per week. Please consider this fact.
