Last week I visited Pocklington to see my relatives and was told that the Co-op is going to be turned into a residential property.
This is not a good thing for the town and the decision to turn the commercial property into living space should be reversed.
Over the past few years there has been a decline in shops and an increase in cafes.
Without shops to attract visitors there would be no need for the cafes.
Pocklington is more than a commuter town and
action is needed to stop it becoming one.
