Learn how to help nature at canal walk

Nature lovers will get the chance to learn more about the ecological importance of Pocklington canal at a special nature walk later this month.

The Green Nature Watch Walk, organised by the Canal and River Trust, is designed to get the public’s help to protect the site, which is internationally recognised for its ecological importance.

Visitors can learn more about the challenges wildlife are facing with changes in climate and loss of habitat and what they can do to help by joining two 5km walks on Thursday 22 August at 10:30-12:30pm and 2.00-4.00pm on the canal between Canal Head and Coates Lock.
