Large amount of cash stolen from village store

A large amount of cash has been stolen during a robbery at a convenience store in a nearby village.

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following the robbery at Costcutters, on High Street, Holme-on-Spalding Moor, at around 6.45am on Sunday.

A 24-year-old man was opening the store when a man entered and threatened him before stealing a large amount of money. The offender then walked off.

The shop worker was not hurt in the incident.

The suspect has been described as a white man, around 6ft tall, of medium build. He was wearing a navy coloured snood, a plain black, long sleeved, zip up, waist length jacket without a hood, black trousers, black or grey boots and black gloves with a small white logo around the wrist area on each glove.

Detectives are at the initial stages of their enquiries and would like to speak to anyone who saw the suspect in the area before or after the incident
