CRAFTY kids got creative for Christmas at the Pocklington Arts Centre.

Ten youngsters attended an arts workshop called “Get Crafty for Christmas” where they made their own colourful collage out of Christmas cards.

They also produced three-dimensional pictures of carol singers.

This was the second of a series of children’s art classes to be held at the Arts Centre every month until March.

Organiser Helen Steele said: “It went very well. All the children had a good time creating crafty Christmas things.

“This has only been our second one [children’s art class]. When word gets around we should get more and more.”

The next workshop, “Collage Robots,” will take place on 14 January and will involve children using their imagination to create a three dimensional character.

Many spaces have already been filled for the workshop. To book a place call the Arts Centre box office on (01759) 301547.
