Youngsters at Newlands School Yorkshire and Pocklington Montessori Nursery have been gathering their toys to donate to the Argos Toy Exchange.

Reception children represented the Pocklington school by dropping the toys off at the Argos store at Monks Cross in York.

All the profits from selling the donated toys will help to fund work by children’s charity Barnardo’s, which helps more than 200,000 young people and their families in the UK each year.

The Argos Toy Exchange is a UK-wide initiative to encourage donations of pre-loved unwanted toys which Argos and Barnardo’s can sell in their stores in the run up to Christmas.
