Scooter enthusiasts from across the country descended on Driffield for an annual rally.

Driffield Midnight Runners Scooter Club held its fifth annual ‘Summer Scrum’ at Driffield Rugby Club, Kelleythorpe, last Friday and Saturday, which more than 500 people attended.

There was live music on both Friday and Saturday night and a northern soul singer on Saturday afternoon.

In addition, there was human table football and bouncy castles at the family-orientated rally.

Prizes were awarded for Best Lambretta, Best Vespa, Best Mod, Best Auto and Furthest Travelled, and The Richard Cousins Best in Show Shield was won by Neil Grace from Batley, West Yorkshire.

A raffle was held and raised about £500 for the Driffield Pensioners Party, which takes place around Christmas.

Rob Flake, a member of Driffield Midnight Runners Scooter Club, said: “More people turned up this year. We always have good feedback from people saying it’s such a friendly rally. A lot of came into town on Saturday and we had a ride through town. It just gets bigger and bigger every year.”
