Fundraising youngsters at Sutton-on-Derwent Primary School have done their bit to help a charity’s fight against global poverty.
Pupils held a bring and buy sale, where they brought in items such as books and games, and sold them to other pupils. They also held another sale where they sold produce grown in school to parents and visitors as part of the school’s harvest festival. Altogether, they raised more than £210. They donated the funds to the Oxfam shop on Pocklington’s Railway Street in the form of gift tokens, which will go to various projects run by Oxfam, the leading UK charity fighting global poverty.
