A CHEQUE for £1,500 was presented to staff at Hearing Dogs for the Deaf.

The money was raised by the Beverley Friendship Quilters in 2010 when Hearing Dogs was their chosen charity.

The charity’s community fundraising manager, Lucy Nalton, said: “We’re thrilled to receive the money.

“The money will help to train more dogs to help deaf people.”

The Beverley Friendship Quilters also presented Hearing Dogs, which has a training centre at Bielby, with three doggy-themed quilts.
