A Pocklington group which has raised more than £26,000 over the years to buy products for the young people of Pocklington has been awarded a £500 grant.
Pocklington Play Area Group has received the grant from Grassroots Giving. In total, 1,000 groups applied for funding and the Play Area Group was one of 500 groups that were shortlisted. There are just 162 winners, including the Pocklington group.
Skipton Building Society, which runs the Grassroots Giving campaign, told the group: “Your contribution to your local community has been recognised by both Skipton Building Society and the voting public. We have been inspired by your work.”
