Golf day for Hearts

We are now heading into the new golfing season and preparations are underway for the first British Heart Foundation Golf Day at Allerthorpe Park Golf Club.

This is to be held on 28 June and is open to all amateur men with a playing handicap of 24 or less.

The cost of a team of four is £80, which includes golf, halfway house and prizes. This has very kindly been possible by the help and support of Allerthorpe Park Golf Club.

They are also looking for sponsors in the form of prizes, raffle or to sponsor a hole for the golf day. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. All supporters will be made aware of your support through the day.

Heart disease touches us all and this is why the BHF has a large supporter base and invests significantly in North Yorkshire. They fund the continuous training of heart health professionals across England, including eight cardiac rehabilitation nurses, eight heart failure nurses, four echocardiographers, and one cardiac liaison nurse in North Yorkshire.

The BHF also currently funds nine Heartstart UK schemes in the area, an initiative that teaches people what to do in a life-threatening emergency – simple skills that save lives. They also fund heart research at the University of York, and currently fund four active grants, totalling £727,901.
