MOUNT Pleasant School pupils have everything they need to ‘go green’ this spring thanks to a donation from Asda.

The Market Weighton store has provided compost, watering cans and a range of gardening tools to help the children create their own areas of greenery in the school grounds.

It is part of a national scheme run by Asda, and the Market Weighton deputy store manager Mark Taylor said that they were delighted to be involved.

“Asda, as a company, is always looking at ways to help the local community and, as a store, we want to promote that,” he said.

“It is a pleasure to work with the school and help them out by donating this equipment.”
