Garage voted best by Post readers

STAFF at a local garage have proved if anyone can fix it they can, after being named Pocklington Post’s 2011 Garage of the Year by readers.

The Peter Hartas garage, situated on the Pocklington Industrial Estate, received the most votes of all the garages in our area to win the competition.

Readers were asked to vote for a local garage which had provided them with excellent service and those who did vote were entered into a prize draw.

Linda Hartas, the director of the company, is delighted that readers named them as the best garage in the area.

She said: “It feels really good. We’ve been on the industrial estate for 22 years and it’s good to win something.

“We’re very happy to receive the award.”

The business has been presented with a Garage of the Year shield for its achievement.

Peter Hartas was set up in November 1989 and has been based at the same site on the industrial estate since then.
