The group have chosen to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, and aim to raise about £2,000.
Martin said: “We’re very much looking forward to it. We have all been touched by cancer in the past and it seemed like a good cause for us all.
He added: “Every year the same group of lads have a night away and we thought why not raise money for charity.”
The group are hoping to make it to Benidorm in a Volvo V40, which cost them £300. The car will be scrapped after they have completed the challenge.
Entry for Benidorm or Bust costs £200 per car with two crew and £25 per extra crew member. This includes ferry crossing from Dover to Calais. There is a £1,000 prize fund for ‘Best Car’, ‘Best Costumes’ and ‘Spirit of the Event’.
