Swimming club Pocklington Dolphins is inviting all former members to a gala to celebrate 50 years since the formation of the club in 1965.
The gala, which is free to enter, will be held at the East Riding Leisure Francis Scaife swimming pool on 11 July and will start with a warm-up at 1.30pm.
The events to be held are as follows;
• 2pm: Mens/Womens 100m Frontcrawl
• 2.30pm: Mens/Womens 100m Breaststroke
• 3pm: Mens/Womens 100m Backstroke
• 3.30pm: Mens/Womens 60m Butterfly
• 4pm: Mens/Womens 20m Frontcrawl Sprint.
• 4.30pm: 4 x 2 Medley Team Race.
Get a team together of four swimmers and take on allcomers to win the relay challenge. Each swimmer will have to swim one of four different strokes - backstroke, butterfly, breaststroke and frontcrawl.

The club is looking for any memorabilia former members may have from their time with the club to put on display during the Open Weekend at East Riding Leisure Francis Scaife on 11 and 12 July. The Dolphins will hold a 50th anniversary hog roast for past and present members at Pocklington Rugby Club, on Percy Road, on 11 July, from 7pm. Tickets cost £10 for adults, £5 for children and are available from Pocklington Carpets, on Union Street, Pocklington.
