Stamford Bridge held its first ever dog show on Saturday as over 105 dogs took part.
Organised by the York Canine Association, the event included over 40 classes during the day.
James Rossdale, chair of the Village Hall Committee, said: “This is the first time we’ve hosted a dog show, we’re starting to have lots of new things on at the hall now.
“Everybody seemed to be enjoying themselves and remarking what a lovely hall it was and it would be pleasure to hold such a show again.
“For some of the dogs and owners taking part, our show was a warm up to Crufts, which starts next week.”
Rosemary Green’s Lhasa Apso was named as best in show, while Elizabeth Beal and Kevin Hodgson’s Mastiff was named as best puppy.
