A charity which provides horse riding and carriage driving opportunities for disabled adults and children has received a financial boost.

Ebor Vale Riding for the Disabled Group, based at Thornton House Farm, near Barmby Moor, has received a Positive Activities Grant of £500 from East Riding Council. The donation will be put towards the group’s annual running costs. The grant was awarded to the group at a Positive Activities Grant awards presentation evening at County Hall in Beverley, hosted by the Council’s Youth and Family Support Service. East Riding Council’s director of children, families and schools, Kevin Hall, said “The award will enable the groups to deliver positive activities to children and young people to help improve their personal, social, educational development as well as provide some great fun activities.”
