Attention all young Pocklington chefs – this your chance to cook at Michelin-starred restaurant – but you’d better act quickly.

The deadline is fast approaching for entries to the competition to find Yorkshire’s best young chef – the Golden Apron 2017. Deadline for entries is next Monday (20 February).

Run by the Michelin-starred Pipe and Glass at South Dalton, and the Yorkshire Wolds Cookery School and farming company JSR, the competition asks teenage chefs to create a dish around the theme of ‘My Yorkshire’.

James Mackenzie, owner of the Pipe and Glass, said: “This is a great opportunity for youngsters across the county to show what can be achieved.”
