The family of a motorcyclist who died after crashing into a parked vehicle in South Cave have issued a tribute to him.

Peter Arthur Young, 60, from Hull, was riding a Kawasaki KZX 250 on Ferry Road at around 6.15pm on 13 January, where he collided with a parked Kia Venga at the side of the road. Nobody else was hurt.

Peter Young leaves his wife Jill and three sons Daniel, Richard and Glenn. They have issued the following tribute: “Pete was a dedicated, loving and loyal family man. He worked really hard all his life to provide for us. Always thoughtful and kind, he was always ready to help anyone in trouble. His presence filled the room and he didn’t know the meaning of quiet as he loved to talk and laugh and joke and sometimes chunter. He loved his motorbikes and all animals and didn’t like to see anything hurt. He adored his four year old granddaughter Amelia, who describes him as ‘loud’. We will never ever stop loving and missing him.”

Humberside Police is still appealing for witnesses to the collision. Anyone with information should call 101 quoting log 417 of 13 January.
