NEWBALD School pupils showed their support for a Fairtrade campaign and raised over £120 for the cause.

The school held a Fairtrade coffee morning for both parents and pupils, and youngsters from the older classes held a special assembly about the Fairtrade ‘Take a Step’ campaign.

The campaign calls on the public to ‘Take a Step’ for Fairtrade by holding fundraising events for the cause, and the charity hopes to achieve 1.5million ‘steps’ by the end of the year.

Parents supported Newbald School’s event by donating cakes and buns to sell, raising an impressive £125 for the Tear fun and Tradecraft charities.
