Dog wardens across the region will be carrying out extra patrols over the next few weeks to target those few irresponsible owners who fail to clean up after their dogs.

The dog wardens from East Riding Council, will be undertaking the patrols as part of the national anti-fouling campaign, The Big Scoop 2015. The wardens will be patrolling streets and parks across the East Riding reminding people of their responsibilities and those found not to be cleaning up after their dog could face a £75 fixed penalty notice or up to a £1,000 fine in court. Anyone with information about dog fouling should contact the council on 01482 396301
