A VITAL bus service to villages in the local area has been saved for another year.

The temporary replacement X36 bus, which runs from Pocklington to York, was due to finish at the end of this month but has now been extended until March 2014.

The service, operated by York Pullman, will continue after East Riding Council held discussions with, and secured funding from, a number of local town and parish councils.

Full story in tomorrow’s Pocklington Post (28 March).
