Green-fingered members of Stamford Bridge in Bloom have been recognised for their hard work in the village after being nominated for a prestigious East Riding Council Chairman’s Award.
The group, which won two Yorkshire in Bloom gold awards last year, has been nominated for a Chairman’s Environment Award, along with two other finalists.
Bryan Lawson, chairman of Stamford Bridge In Bloom, said: “We have been nominated because we have helped change the whole environment of Stamford Bridge.”
The Chairman’s Awards ceremony will take place at The Spa, Bridlington next Tuesday. The chairman of East Riding Council is councillor Claude Mole.
