The Market Weighton School PE teacher Miss Smith took 14 girls from years 7-10 to a football festival at Hull University run by East Riding FA.

They took part in a five-a-side tournament, winning many games and demonstrating some excellent football. They also took part in several workshops, including refereeing, goalkeeping and skills.

The skills workshop was run by football freestyler Charlotte Lade. The girls got the opportunity to test out their shooting accuracy and speed on an inflatable target goal. The fastest was Olivia Grant at 60.2mph.

The girls got to meet two players from Doncaster Rover Belles - goalkeeper Nicola Hobbs and midfielder Bethany England - and received a ticket to watch a super league game of their choice.
