Pupils and teachers at Wilberfoss Primary School got dressed up and showcased some of their best dance moves for charity.
The school took part in the national Dress Up and Dance fundraising event recently, run by Macmillan Cancer Support, which involved all pupils at the school dressing up to reflect their favourite kind of dance, from ballet to street dancing.
During the day they had to learn a special dance, which they performed to parents. In addition, groups of girls created their own simple dance which they performed in the playground and other pupils joined in.
Teachers at the school also dressed up for the event and joined in with the dancing.
Headteacher Sue Monkman said: “Everyone has such a brilliant time, it was such fun. We would definitely do it again.”
The school raised £381 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
