One of my Governors recently referred to me as being ‘rather harsh’. It was a comment that I hadn’t expected as I pride myself on fairness and positive leadership.
She had heard my school mantra of ‘laugh or leave’ and perhaps didn’t fully understand the reasons behind it.
Having worked in schools for more than 15 years, I have met many members of staff.
I have to say that the vast majority of those meetings have been positive. People who choose to work with young people need to have a range of skills and personal attributes.
