North Cave - Pirate day

TREASURE-hunting youngsters enjoyed some swashbuckling fun to celebrate Super Learning Day.

Children at North Cave Primary School took part in a number of pirate-related activities throughout the day.

Parents were also invited to the school for a pirate lunch.

The children, aged 4-11, who have been learning about pirates and treasure all through term, dressed up as pirates and made pirate compasses and eye patches.

In addition, a local woman called Beral Whip visited the school to talk to the children about Nelson.
