A primary school has been told it needs to improve by education watchdog Ofsted.
South Cave CE Primary was previously rated as ‘good’ but has been told it ‘requires improvement, for overall effectiveness, achievement, teaching, leadership and management.
The behaviour and safety of pupils has been rated as good.
The Ofsted report says: “Achievement requires improvement. This is because standards should be higher when pupils leave and the progress they make varies too much from year to year.
It adds: “Teaching is not challenging enough.”
