School kitchen to re-open after £67k revamp

Waiting for Video...

Pupils at a Pocklington primary school can enjoy freshly cooked meals from the school’s kitchen for the first time in 12 years from September, after a £67,000 refurbishment of the facility.

St Mary and St Joseph Roman Catholic Primary School has completely revamped its kitchen after the school received a £62,000 grant from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Middlesbrough and contributions from Governors and the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).

The kitchen fell into disrepair a number of years ago, and without necessary funding to carry out repairs, it was left inoperable.

Full story in this week’s (10 July) Pocklington Post.
