Hundreds of pounds have been raised for charity at a school’s autumn fair.
Children at Bugthorpe Primary collected fresh produce for the school’s harvest festival, which was sold at the fair. Other stalls at the fair sold books, toys, cakes and refreshments. A raffle and tombola were also held. Children ran the stalls with the help of staff and parents.
In addition, Year 5 and 6 pupils designed games for the event, including an obstacle course and hockey shootout.
Everyone was welcome to the fair, which raised more than £550. The school has yet to decide which charity it will donate the money to.
Adele Sunderland, from the school, said: “It very well. All the children had a great time.
“We had a very good turnout.”
