Advice on road safety was given to youngsters at Lyndhurst Day Nursery in Pocklington in a bid to help them stay safe on the roads.
The nursery received a visit from police officers, who arrived in a police car. The officers spoke to the children about how to stay safe when crossing the road.
As well as children who attend the nursery, youngsters who are part of the nursery’s out of school club also received vital advice about road safety.
Ann Lyon, manager of the day nursery, said: “It [road safety] was a project going on all week in the nursery.
“The children loved every minute of it, especially hearing the sirens of the police car.”
