The headteacher of Pocklington Community Junior School says staff are determined to boost the school’s Ofsted rating after it was ordered to improve.

Carole Fulstow is remaining positive despite being told that the school “requires improvement” by Ofsted inspectors.

The school has been told it must improve its overall effectiveness, achievement of pupils, quality of teaching and leadership and management. Meanwhile, the behaviour and safety of pupils has been rated as ‘good’.
