Youngsters have taken to the stage to perform end of year school plays.

Year six at Pocklington Community Junior School dressed up as vampires, zombies and famous detectives to take part in a musical comedy called ‘The Dracula Rock Show’ in the Tom Stoppard Theatre at Pocklington School, watched by parents.

Stamford Bridge Primary School children in years five and six performed The Jungle Book in the school hall to family members. They also took part in a dress rehearsal, watched by other classes at the school.

Pupils in years three to six at Sutton-on-Derwent Primary School performed their play ‘Peace Child’ to parents and pupils. The show is set in the far away land of Mambica where two opposing tribes seem unwilling to put an end to their enmity. Only the gift of a new-born child can bring peace.
