Youngsters at Warter Primary School have been getting sporty to raise funds for charity.

Children at the school have taken part in various sporting events, including running and obstacle courses, and raised funds through sponsorship in aid of the children’s charity NSPCC.

The school raised about £1,640 for the charity, and NSPCC representative Lesley Wood paid a visit to the school recently to collect a cheque for the funds raised.

Lesley previously visited the school to talk to the children about the work of the NSPCC.

Kirsty Brooks, from the school, said: “The children enjoyed raising funds for the NSPCC. It was a lot of fun.”
