Celebrations are taking place at Melbourne Primary School, after Ofsted inspectors judged it is a ‘good’ school.
The inspectors found there had been a sustained improvement in the progress made by pupils since a previous inspection three years ago, when the school was described as ‘satisfactory’.
In their latest report, the inspectors ranked it as good in all key areas - pupils’ achievement, quality of teaching, leadership and management and behaviour and safety of pupils. They also ranked it as good for overall effectiveness.
