YOUNGSTERS spread the festive spirit by donating gift boxes to Operation Christmas Child.
Pupils at Wilberfoss Primary School brought in gift boxes full of various items, including toys, hats, scarves, books, crayons, pens and pencils, which have been handed to Samaritan’s Purse, the charity which runs the appeal.
The boxes get sent to vulnerable children in over a dozen countries around the world.
Over 50 boxes were collected by the school for the project.
A spokesperson for the school said: “It’s something we do every year.
“Last year we had about 37. So there’s been an increase this year.
“The children enjoyed getting involved with it. One child brought in about ten boxes.”
