Driver in court over road death

A DRIVER is to appear in court next week after she was charged with causing death by careless driving.

Joanne Marie Rowley was charged following the death of 73-year-old cyclist Jack Beresford Pearson last year.

Mr Pearson, of Market Weighton, was involved in a collision with a van at the roundabout near Shiptonthorpe in February.

Mrs Rowley, 37, from Leeds, is set to face trial at Hull Crown Court on Mon 7 February.
