Driver hits car without stopping

POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a car hit the back of a black Citroen on the The Balk, Pocklington, before driving off.

The Citroen C2 was waiting at the temporary traffic lights on the B1247 heading out of Pocklington when another car, believed to be red, hit the back of it then headed off towards the A1079 in a shower of sparks.

The 30-year-old woman driver of the Citroen was not injured, but it caused extensive rear end damage to her car.

It happened around 11.30pm on 14 February and Humberside Police are calling on anyone who witnessed the accident or saw the offending vehicle driving off along the Balk or the A1079 to contact them on 101 quoting log 722.
