A drama group has received a financial boost after receiving a cheque for £1,160 from Pocklington United Services Club.
The group, for people with learning disabilities, rehearse and perform at Pocklington Arts Centre.
The funds from Pocklington United Services Club will go towards the group’s running costs.
The United Services Club raised the funds through raffles, cake stalls, galas and other events.
Julia Gregory, a Wolds Wonders trustee, said: “Sue Moore, Sandra Stubbins and Mary Pemberton [from the club] are the driving force behind all this fundraising plus all the other members of the club who help organise activities, man stalls and in so many ways support the club’s great record of fundraising.
“We thank the club for their wonderful generosity in raising such a huge amount of money.”
