Civic dignitaries from all across the East Riding travelled to Pocklington last Sunday for the annual Pocklington Mayor’s Civic Service.
Mayors from all over the region, including the Mayor of Market Weighton, councillor Peter Hemmerman, took part in a service at Pocklington Methodist Church, conducted by Reverend Geoff Dougill.
In addition, the Lord Lieutenant of East Yorkshire, Susan Cunliffe-Lister, the High Sheriff of the county, Julie Good, and East Riding Council chairman, Coun Chad Chadwick, attended the event.
Afterwards, the group made their way to Pocklington Arts Centre for lunch.
